Frequently Asked Questions Renting Buckeye Bins

Buckeye Bins are available to rent for residential and commercial moves within the Central Ohio and surrounding cities area. Bins are also rented for renovations and remodels.

Buckeye Bins are 27" long x 17" wide x 12" high and have approximately 3.2 cubic feet of storage.

Buckeye Bins empty are 7 lbs.

Yes. Someone is required to be home for the delivery. Unless agreed upon by The Buckeye Bin Company.

1000% Yes. Keeping your items sanitized and clean are at the top of our priority list. Each bin is wiped down with anti-viral disinfectant before they are delivered to a new customer. In addition, when Bins are returned they are cleaned before being stored. 

All rental packages that require a "deep clean" due to the condition they are returned in, are subject to a $2.50 per bin charge. If they contain pet hair, they are subject to a $10-20 package charge depending on the size of the package.

Each bin will hold approximately;

- 15 pairs of shoes or

- 48 books or

- 40 t-shirts and 15 pairs of shorts or

- 40 pairs of jeans

Each Buckeye Bin has a maximum weight of 60 lbs for a single bin. We recommend not to push it past 40 lbs.

Each Dolly has a maximum weight of 480 lbs.

Yes, this is very common. We are preferred partners with a local company, One Old Man and a Van (www.oneoldmanandavan.com) already. This will actually save you money. You don't have to worry about going and buying boxes, or purchasing through a moving company. We will deliver for free prior to a company packing you and/or moving you. After you unpack from your move, we come pick them up for free.

The bin process can save you on your hourly rates for your moving/packing company. The bins won't breakthrough on the bottom like cardboard boxes, and being the same size as one another, they can be easily stacked. Most moving companies prefer this method.

We will absolutely bring more bins! There is a re-delivery minimum of 5 bins at $5 per bin. Depending on location, there may be an additional delivery fee. Email us your request with you order number. info@thebuckeyebincompany.com

If you don't know where those boxes have been or what hass been inside of them, be careful! Cardboard boxes trap dirt, bed bugs (one of their favorite nesting spots is cardboard), pet hair/dander, chemicals and/or bacteria that can easily be transferred to your belongings. 

On top of that, finding the boxes, picking them up, building them and then packing your items into already marked boxes, it's not as easy as it sounds. After you're done, you then have to find somewhere to dispose of them.

Short answer, yes! Here are some of the main reasons:

•  The Bins are more durable than cardboard boxes, so you'll pack more without the bottom falling out.
• The Bins are delivered directly to you with supplies already included for FREE. This saves hours of your time and money.
• The Buckeye Bins have attached locking lids which means NO TAPE needed.
• They neatly stack inside of one another and makes it easy for movers to dolly them in and out of your home and onto the truck. This will save you $ on your hourly rate the movers are charging you.

Yes! We will make sure they are delivered directly to you!

Please email your request and order number to info@thebuckeyebincompany.com. 

• If you cancel outside of 48 hours before your scheduled delivery there is a 100% refund. 
• If you cancel the order within 24-48 hours of your scheduled delivery, you will be billed for 25% of your package cost.
• If you cancel the order when they are delivered, you will be billed for 50% of your package cost.

Please email your request and order number to info@thebuckeyebincompany.com to arrange a different delivery and/or pick up date. We will make sure we work with you on getting the dates you need!

We will work with you on using our services. If the service area is outside of Central Ohio, there may be an additional travel charge for delivery.

When you schedule your FREE delivery. We will bill you with an invoice via to your email. You can use a bank account, credit card or debit card through our secured checkout process.

Our hours of operations are Monday through Friday 9 am to 5 pm & Saturday 9 am to NOON. When placing your order we will set a date and time that works best for you. 24 hours before drop off and pick up you'll be notified of your scheduled time (typically a two hour window is given).

Using the provided recycled packing paper, we suggest you wrap the items, and then use additional linens (sheets, towels, blankets or even clothing) and/or pillows to ensure more protection. This will also help eliminate the need for bubble wrap.

We will be able to pick up the Bins earlier than your set pick up date to help you get situated in your new home, but we do not offer discounts on early returns because those bins were reserved for you during that period of time.
